Michael Davies is a full-time writer with commissions for theatre and corporate work. His play Rasputin’s Mother won the 2013 National Playwriting Competition and subsequently toured to the Old Joint Stock Theatre in Birmingham. A graduate of the MA in TV Scriptwriting course at De Montfort University, he has a wide portfolio of scripts for television, radio and stage and recently completed the book and lyrics for a new musical version of Tess of the d’Urbervilles – see www.tessthemusical.com for demo recordings and more info. With other hats on, he has appeared on stage directed by Sir Alan Ayckbourn, is a published fiction author and has been a professional theatre critic for more than 30 years.
